I’ve been taking photographs since I was 10 – over half a century!

Photography has played a consistent part in my life, waxing and waning in relation to demanding careers, major life events, and other interests – but it’s always been there. When I launched my website in 2019 it was partly to explore why I’ve been driven to capture specific moments for so long.

Since 2019 I’ve been practicing different techniques and subjects, receiving comments from subscribers via my monthly Blog and Instagram followers, and have thought deeply about what specific subjects I’m drawn to and which attract me less. Having renewed all my equipment during 2020 and reasonably mastered its use - although there are always techniques that need more practice - I want to step up to the next level.

I now see myself specifically as a landscape photographer and therefore need to develop my style more consciously and focus my choice of subject matter to provide a more advanced consistent approach. I’m also more driven to express “the deeper me”, and aim for my photography to act as a vehicle for inviting reactions to my images in any viewers of my work, not just displaying what I do.

So, this website and monthly Blog continues to be an expression of that intention to pursue my photographic vision and to continuously improve and develop my style.
